GENERAL INFORMATION

Important Notice:
Please note that Shalimpo is strictly available on a pre-booked basis, confirmed by Hendrik Coetzer. We do not accept day visitors or "passing trade".

Breakages Deposit:
A R500 refundable "breakages deposit" is required prior to arrival and refundable within 2 days after departure. This deposit will be included in the proforma invoice and will be refunded into the bank account provided by the guest(s).

Cancellation Policy:
Between 0-7days prior to arrival, 100% cancellation fee. Between 7-14 days prior to arrival, 75% cancellation fee. Between 14-21 days prior to arrival, 50% cancellation fee.Between 21-28 days prior to arrival, 25% cancellation fee.

Check-in & Check-out Times:

Check-in time is from 14h00 in the afternoon. Check-out time is prior to 10h00 in the morning.

Children:

Children of all ages are welcome at Shalimpo. Baby-sitting services can be arranged with the Lodge Manager / Hospitality concierge.

Confirmation of Booking:

The Terms and Conditions of a booking are deemed as being accepted on receipt by Shalimpo of the 50% deposit. A letter of confirmation will be sent confirming the reservation at Shalimpo on receipt of the deposit, together with Shalimpo's Indemnity form which must be signed and faxed / e-mailed to Wendy prior to arrival. The original Indemnity form must be handed to our Safari Guide on arrival at Pont Drift.

Malaria:

The Tuli Block is a malaria region, we strongly advise our guests to take malaria prophylaxis when visiting Shalimpo especially between October to the end of April. Please feel free to bring any additional mosquito deterrents and remember to bring clothes to cover your arms, legs and feet during late afternoons and evenings. Mosquito nets are provided.

Medical History:

If you have a medical condition please advise us, so that we are aware of this incase of an emergency.

Payment Methods & Terms:

Internet transfer, cash and bank guaranteed cheques only. All payments are to be prepaid prior to arrival; no payments will be accepted at Shalimpo (with the exception of additional activities which may not have been pre-booked). Banking details will be provided with the proforma invoice for payment details. A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking within 14 days after the proforma invoice has been issued. The balance is payable one month prior to arrival. The reservation will automatically be cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date. Deposits are not refundable in the event of non arrival.

Transfers & other activities:

Transfers to and from Pont Drift from within South Africa / Botswana can be arranged, with prior arrangement. Should you wish to book any additional activities available in the surrounding area, please make the necessary arrangements with Hendrik Coetzer prior to arrival.
